Until a week ago I had been facing the same decision, ended up choosing the sub mainly because I didn't think the polished centre links of the GMT would fare well with daily wear. I didn't end up with the sub though, while the guy was getting the paperwork together I tried on the Deep Sea, what a watch. Luckily he hadn't stamped the sub's warranty card & I ended up leaving with the SDDS. The other plus for the sub over the GMT is the glidelock clasp (the glidelock on the SDDS is magic).
