I actually loved the DSSD far more than I ever thought I would. It took 3 trips to the AD looking at different pieces before I decided to pick one up. It's hard to explain, but if you aren't planning on wearing it with dress shirts as mentioned then the height really shouldn't be a problem.

I found it felt great to wear it in shorts and a t-shirt and most everyday attire. The heft did surprise me as it does feel like wearing a tank on your wrist but.... the weight is kind of pleasant in a "I feel like I'm wearing a quality watch" kind of way. It's just such a cool watch
