Buying used is always going to be your best bet when it comes to Panerai. Except for the limited editions, most models can be had for several thousand off list. If you are truly looking to buy brand new and are alright with using a grey dealer, I have found that Jomashop (with Panerai in particular) offers really good deals on brand new Panerai standard production models. The only problem is you won't get the Panerai warranty, but you will get theirs. Looking a price comparison, you'd get over a thousand off the cost.

You can check my comment history, I don't work for Jomashop. Just saying for standard production Panerai, I've gotten greal deals.
