The funny thing is, IMHO, the actual size is of Daytona is 38-39mm, because winding crown and chrono buttons shouldn't be included. If you pick a Sub for example you can see the difference of the size right away.
The same thing with SDDS. Rolex claims 44mm but it's actually 43mm.
I don't know the reason for that. Maybe the rationale is to follow the recent "case enlargement" tendency but not really doing it.
