This is the wrong forum to pose this kind of question. Without commenting on rolex quality one way or the other, the brand does skew older. The rolex forum isn't the place where you're going to find owners agreeing that their watches are for "old people".
I agree that many rolex designs are timeless but the DJ and DD specifically have designs that the younger crowd doesn't tend to appreciate.
At the end of the day, it's just personal preference. Who cares what a salesman or anyone else says?
