I do not have one of the later heavier bracelets, but I'm going to step out and say that the physics should be the same although execution may be more difficult..

Any adjustment to the blades of the deployant style clasp is going to change the geometry of where the end of the clasp contacts the far end when closed.. And, it does not take much movement at all to affect a large difference at the contact point.

The modern fliplock however, is a completely different principle..

Perhaps somebody with a newer TOG could verify for you.........
