Great idea! There's a relatively new (been there about 2-3 years) AD in La Jolla, that perhaps we could design this around. They are:

They are open until 6:30 except on Sundays, when they close earlier, as I recall, so it would have to be something centered around lunch.
There are a ton of restaurants around this area, some (TGI Friday's, for
example) possibly even within walking distance, so a GTG for lunch, then a quick walk over to the Swiss Watch Gallery, to look at what they have in stock, might be a good choice. Alternatively, starting out at the Swiss Watch Gallery,
say, at 4:00 or 5:00, and then dinner afterwards, could potentially work
better, if during the week, for those who work........
I spoke with them briefly and they seemed interested. I can speak with them more seriously, should this be something that would work.
