I think maybe the watch may be discontinued at some point, thats progress, but from a finance point of view for Rolex, this is an icon and the entry level into the sport watch range, apart from the Explorer, so to discontinue this watch would exclude prospective new buyers, it would be like removing the Airking from the range, many peoples first step onto the Rolex ladder.

After all Rolex is there to make money, they need products that will be exclusive, but still appeal to as many pockets as possible...
