Was in the same situation, both great watches but when I tried both on my wrist the Sub looked classier compared to the large numbers on the bezel of the GMT II, much classier with a suit. Also, the bracelet on the GMT II is like a wanna be white gold for me. Plus I'm a diver and the Submariner was always been my choice.
