broken crystals are hard to say, if glass shards got into the movement through the date window, the glass could scratch the dial, depending on how skilled the watchmaker is who is working on the watch... it will really need a full service IMHO. UNLESS the crystal stayed in one piece and just cracked, then your looking at 200 bucks installed for a new crystal.. but if any got on the dial, then a full service is due. 500+ for service.. RCS is the best and only way to go. I don't like private watch makers, they will never be able to do what rolex can.. unless its a vintage watch theres only one man i would use, otherwise for new, RCS all the way
