Beyond the new movement and its nice finishing, the blue sector dial reminds me of the VC fiftysix 3-hander with bracelet. With similar dial design, dressy steel, a more interesting case shape, some lugs and the addition of a date complication, I would take that VC over this LV and save myself $5K. I know I'm going to get some hate here...

That is the correct interpretation. I like both of these watches but would own neither.
