really, this race to nickname the watch is just too much.....and some of the ideas, like batman, are just silly and don't even make sense (batman is all matte black). and, as some have mentioned, some people on this board have a real issue with the nickname "bruiser".
last time i checked, not all watches have nicknames, either. submariner date, submariner, milguass, yachmaster, yachtmaster ii, datejust, daydate, skydweller, explorer ii, daytona, air king.
well, i do remember a special person referring to the YM as "platty". i like that one.

Oh, I completely agree... was just being tongue-in-cheek. Frankly, I don't really like any watch nicknames. For some reason I find "Subby" quite irritating, even though most ADs use it themselves.
We should be grateful that Rolex actually name the watches in the first place, rather than just assigning a reference number like some other manufacturers
