I have owned five versions of the FF (currently still have MilSpec and a Bathye). I love BlancPain and the FF. It’s such an incredible watch. Now if you were talking about a modern LV, or Sub in general, I’d say yes get the FF. However, that five digit LV is IMO the best representation of the five digit Sub (I’ve also owned my 16610 for 24 years). The five digit subs are the absolute best. I will never part with mine. In your shoes there is no way I’d part with such a classic example of the best era of Submariners.
Non-limited edition FF tend to depreciate quite a bit. Wait six months and buy the FF secondhand at a better discount than what the AD is offering. That way you keep the LV and get the FF.
