The NATOs fitted to my watches were the old type Rolex UK fitted to watches until around 2007-8.

The ones they now sell are a different type... much stiffer, sharp, and with the removable buckle. I think Rolex just source these from a generic strap supplier and they are nothing special.

NATO straps are available everywhere. It's worth going to a watch fair and comparing and handling some different straps, and even army surplus stores usually have a few to choose from. Ebay is full of them!
