Hello.

I did the « Atelier 215 » in Geneva. It’s a training session to learn how to disassemble and reassemble the 215 caliber. The instructor is the one that is training all the watchmakers from all the ADs around the world. He told me, back in the days, that water resistance was measured with *unscrewed* crowns for the models that have screwed crowns.

I must admit that the 30m across all the models (except MR) is now a bit confusing but I have brought my 5167A and 5712A in many swimming pools, hamman, oceans and sees without any problems. So those are definitely not for « only walking under the rain ».

Which is absolutely not the case for MR. I was told that one MR owner had his watch ruined when he was trapped under a huge massive rain. Those are definitely not suitable even for walking under the rain.

I have an appointment soon at the Paris salon, I will clarify that 30m thing with the watchmaker there.
