The black dial is beautiful, too!


What I'd like to add to my review:



My AD had the black Explorer II 216570 in, so I thought I would have a second look at it.

When I saw the watch, I immediately noticed that the date magnefication seemed to be larger than on my white dial Explorer II, so I asked the AD if he had a white dial Explorer II in stock, too.

He did... Compare these pics:








It might be a trick of the eye due to the black dial, but you tell me.


Also, I have noticed that MY Explorer II has a rather coarse satination on the angled edge running up to the milled ("coin") edge of the caseback... it looks like someone has tried to restore the satination with a ScotchBrite pad.

So I compared it to the white and black Explorer II and found that the BLACK Explorer II sported the normal very fine satination while the WHITE version had the SAME coarse satination of the angled part of the caseback as seen on mine....

It's really hard to capture on a picture... this is the best I could do:
