Daytona 116520 or 116523

I have a choice between these two. The 116520 is black dial. The 116523 is white mother or pearl with diamond dial with TT gold.

Which would you pick?

Leaning towards the mother of pearl dial.

Whats your thoughts.

I would go with the mop dial.

Is this your first watch? I wouldn't if this is a one watch collection but if you have other moms conservative choices then go with the mop dial.

It all depend what other watches you have; probably would say 116520.

You already have a TT with the bluesy, so would say a 116520. The MOP dials are nice, but think 2 TT might be too much unless you wear a lot of gold often in other jewelry.

Dont wear any other jewelery outside wedding ring. The MOP dial and TT band on the daytona is nice and not very common. I dont think I have ever seen a daytona in the wild much less one with MOP dial. Not the only decision making reason but it is something to consider.

The black dial is nice and non flashy.

If you plan to keep, go MOP. If you plan to flip, go steel.

Im not really a flipper. I was planning on flipping my new milgausse but i would have lost way too much on the deal. I plan on keeping my collection for a long time. I made the decision on the MOP. Couldn't resist for the price.

This will be a watch that only gets worn on very special occasions which for me are few and far between. I will enjoy having it though.

Congrats on your decision...It's a rather uncommon piece (in the wild), so it's certainly a cool choice.

Thanks. My wife thinks its too blingy but I kinda like it. I dont think I have ever seen a daytona in the wild much less one like this.

It definately left a dent in the wallet but got it at a great price.

I know i can flip it for more if i really need to. I plan on keeping this sucker for a long time.

Maybe someday after my bank account recoups i will get a ss daytona. This one is definately not an everyday watch.

FWIW, I own a TT Daytona (black dial, no MOP or diamonds, unfortunately) and it is my everyday watch. You'll be surprised at how a versatile watch it is.
