Icon17 What you got under the hood ...?

I love looking at the movements almost as much as the dials...

I agree. A nicely decorated 6497 is nicer to look at than most Panerai in-house (I said most, not all)

They sure know how to make nice but simple movements

Those movements look very nice indeed, I quite like that.

Same here, in some watches, PP, Blancpain, Breguet, and many others, the back side is 20 times more fascinating than the front, the back of 233 is nice but it's too bad that Panerai do very closed movements, I love when you see more of the mechanism, for me the back of your 217 is nicer than the 233...

here's mine! ;-)

all kidding aside, i quite like the feel of steel against the skin for this kind of watch.

i suppose if i had something like a 520 or 399, i could make an exception....

as always, wonderful pics

To tell the truth, I only look at models with exhibition backs. I love looking at the movements. That's why I have the 372 and 219.

Cheers!

Hehe! Steel is real, Cru! I guess it does depend on the mvmt!

The 3135 in my 16600 is one of the most dependable mvmts I own, but I don't really have to see it...

I hear you, Rich! I want a "stuffed" dial PAM (like the logos) but I want the exhibition caseback so that's why I'm scouting for a 111E/F/G
