9315 bracelet on the 1675 GMT?

Hi All,

I've noticed on my recently acquired 1675 that it has a 9315 bracelet on it.. I'm getting conflicting answers researching online, but, were there any 1675's that had the 9315 from the factory? The bracelet is actually in pretty decent condition, but, it appears a more a sub bracelet ..

I've seen quite a few listings with the 1675 with the 9315 bracelet as well.. Curious what everyone's opinion is on this! It's a 1970 1675 and I think the wear on the bracelet matches the time.. Pics below:

Back then bracelets were more of a dealer option.

A 9315 could be specified by a pilot to use the diver extension over a flight suit. I know a few USAF guys who fly with 16710s and they're on 93150 bracelets for that reason.

It was probably installed by a dealer or previous owner. The Rolex Master Catalogs indicate that it was available on the Explorer II and the Submariners during the 1970s on the sport model watches. I do not have any catalogs from the 1960s but a good assumption would be that it wasn't available then either.

This is very helpful! So not odd at all for this watch to have the 9315 bracelet then?

I read somewhere that even the 16710 was available with either the 78790 or the 93150 as options till the late 90s or early 2000s.

I don't recall but are there date stamps on 9315s? If the Date falls into the same range then it's possible it was installed by the dealer at the same time of the purchase
