3x incoming

Hi,

I was lucky enough to get three pieces at an auction today. 5513 MF, 5512 gilt 4 line and a gilt 1675.

The 5513 and 5512 seem very legit, but the 1675 has newer hands, which I knew going in. The price reflected this.

What do you think?

It will be a couple of weeks I'm afraid.. the way it works is that I transfer the money, the money is then frozen for up to two weeks and then I get the watches :-)

Works perfectly with my no-patience policy

All need a bit of TLC I think, but I'm starting out with just polishing the crystal and see where that gets me. I'm noget even sure I'll source correct small hand for the 1675.

Thanks! But is it really a Bart? According to Vintage Rolex Sportsmodels(tm) it's a 5512... I thought the Bart only existed in 5513 and not i 4 lines?

The case on the 5512 looks amazing !
I was also wondering about the Bart coronet on the 5512...?

The hands on the 1675 are not my cup of tea but that's an easy enough fix.

It was a "normal" Auctionata online auction, but "provided by" Chrono24. I'm thinking Chrono24 found some of the watches on there and Auctionata sold them off. Was my first time trying an online auction and it was a lot of fun. Had live video of the items, an actual auctionarius with hammer. Also, they had a local "expert" who commented on each watch. The latter actually knew his stuff.

The auction was Rolex only, so all 90 something lots were Rolex'es where I'd say about 90 % vintage.

I'm curious about getting the watches, and when I do I'll be sure to post some "proper" pictures.

You're right about the 1675, but it was a bargain, so I figure I save the watch and in time I'll source matching hands and small GMT and then I'll have a really nice one.

3 watches showing up on the same day begs the question... Which will you wear first?

Gilt "Bart Simpson" dials are found on both 5512 and 5513 references in the 1.6 mil serial range. There is a bit of overlap with this last gilt gloss sub dial and the meters first matte dial. Enjoy your watches.

You'll have to do a collection photo when you get these in -- we need to see the whole lot!

Congrats!
