What's going on here?

OK, I don’t usually post much but this will be my 2nd post within a few days regarding a non-sports model Rolex. I was at another forum, and I ran across a picture of the DDII. Wow, that is a really nice looking watch.

I remember seeing pictures of it last year but it didn’t do much for me then. Is this what happens once you get past 40? Must be!

Surprisingly enough, you don’t read much about the DDII. Wondering how many forum members here have them?

I think it’s safe to say that I will soon be the proud owner of either a DDII or if the rumor is true, and assuming I like the way it looks, possibly a 41mm Datejust.

By the way, if anyone on here currently owns a DDII, please post some pics!

Thanks

Im in utah this week and tried on the rose, white w diamond dial, and yellow with sticks. I have tried since it came out to love it, but I cant. Even on, its an odd bird to me, just an awkward brother to the original. JMHO, i did try to love her though. Of course if you love it, get it, youll enjoy it forever.

Ditto for me. It's a nice watch, but personally, I think it looks a bit odd and the large bezel is just not proportional with the rest of the watch, to the point where it looks a bit ridiculous to me. But, to each his own. Personally, I prefer the classic 36mm of the original day-date configuration, but I would likely be open to considering a larger day-date model, if it looked better than the current attempt by Rolex with the DDII.
