Depends on skin tone, fair skin looks better with YG.
Best looking DD is the Plat glacier blue and diamond dial. That's my two cents. Of the two you listed I kinda like the YG better but both are stunning. I went YG white with romans for my DD 40 You need to try them both on to decide for yourself.

Olive Green rose gold vs Green yellow daydate
I do think they’re the two best DDs in the lineup. I’d probably include the Platinum too though.
I’d personally go with the RG Olive since I already own a full YG and full WG watch. I like variety though. Also, I believe any skin tone can wear any of the PM shades. Some may look better with certain skin tones but I don’t think any shade of gold is eliminated by a certain skin tone. The YG DD is also much louder than the RG DD in person too. I like watches that pop. And that YG Green Day Date pops.

I would select the Rose of the two. I prefer the WG meteorite over those two.

I’ve seen both in person. Hard to choose. But I think I’d go YG. I just like YG better than RG.

Can’t go wrong with either variant. Depends on your skin tone

I have the rg olive DD40. In my opinion it's a more balanced watch. I've seen the green dial YG DD40 and the YG seems to overpower the flat green dial. Variety also led me to choose the rg since I already have a TT DJ41 Yg.

YG for me. I like the RG but my skin tone does not work as well and if you are matching metals the RG is harder to get accessories to work.

I prefer the YG. The green dial really pops on this reference.
That could be a good thing or a bad thing I guess. |

Those sure are two lookers, but best looking is nothing but an exercise in the subjective. You're going to hear a multitude of opinions, but the only one that matters is yours.
I'll go ahead and chip in. My choice of DD would be in a white metal, so either the WG meteorite or platinum ice blue dial. Good luck, |

Ive had a YG DD40 and the RG Olive dial. I chased after the olive dial for a while and when I finally got it, it really didnt sing to me, the Rose is a little too pink for me. I wanted variation also since i had a YG Sub but now im back on the hunt for another YG dd40 White roman dial since I sold my YG DD40 for the YG sub.

Had both, like neither. The bracelet on a DD is far too annoying. You’ll never get any DD to fit you.

Olive Green rose gold vs Green yellow daydate
Obviously a subjective opinion, but I prefer the warmth and “elegance” of the RG Olive combination vs the YG LQGR dial.
The warmer, earthier, richer tones of the olive green are all factors that are more appealing to me. I do like YG as well, and I equally appreciate both the YG/RG hues of gold. (pic below is inverted from iPhone setting) Also: I would have to agree with the posters above who mentioned the platinum DD’s being included in the nicest looking DD’s on the catalog….especially with that ice blue dial.
