Daytona vs. GMT
If you could have only one of the following which one would it be and why? We will assume you can pick one, and only one, at MSRP and it’s the only watch you can own.

Probably a Batman for me. Seems to fit the one watch profile better than all the rest. The Pepsi is nice but perhaps a bit too loud for me and I prefer the oyster bracelet on the professional range.

GMT Master ll (BLNR) in fact it's the only watch I would spend more then a few hundred dollars on. The jubilee bracelet creates the most comfortable watch I ever put on and the Black for night Blue for day bezel makes scene. It's the perfect watch.

On that list I would chose Pepsi, but as my only watch I would prefer an Explorer39 over any other watch.

White Daytona, and I’m admittedly biased.

The decision would be based on complication first, which for me is the GMT.
Owned the BLNR and it didn’t last. Bought the BLRO, and love it. |

Batgirl for me if I could only wear one of those 4. Legible, useful complications and great colors.

I have a BLNR and a white DaytonaC. I love the Daytona. I just got it a couple months ago (I’ve had the BLNR a couple years) so the Daytona gets all the wrist time lately.
That said, if I could only have one as a daily, it would probably be the BLNR. GMT is a useful complication and the BLNR doesn’t make nearly as much of a statement as the Daytona. It’s a better only Rolex IMHO. |

Close tie between 126710 BLRO and 116710 BLNR. The BLNR on a brushed glidelock is a perfect daily driver. I absolutely love the BLRO (Pepsi) on jubilee, but the jubilee would not suit me (work/casual) for a daily driver.

Personally, this is probably the hardest choice for me.
I work in motorsports so the Daytona would sing to me for it's motorsport heritage but I also travel around the world for work so the GMT would work well for the time zones. I think if I was to buy either one first, it would be the GMT Pepsi. |

This is a tough one. Ultimately I chose the BLNR (I am biased). Prefer the GMT function over the chronograph and I enjoy having a date. The BLNR on jubilee versus Daytona may be a more difficult decision however...

FWIW I would go with the black dial DaytonaC, and yes I am biased. It checks all the boxes for me—can wear dressed up or with a t-shirt, black dial can be worn with literally any color, extremely comfortable on the wrist, and when I glance at it, it puts a smile on my face

This is such a hard and subjective question. Since we all have different personal tastes and different wants, it really comes down to the person. But I am interested to see what the majority of the responses are.
I love motorsport and I love to drive. The Daytona sings to me in that regard. I also travel extensively for work (currently 8,000 miles from home right now) and keeping track of two time zones is a thing that I need. I can tell you what watch I can disregard in this sense. I am not a fan of the BLNR on the jubilee if I had a choice between this and the BLRO. I am one for history and heritage, and I think the BLRO is the winner here. (Don’t get me wrong, I would own a BLNR in a heartbeat but with these four, it is the first to go) Next, chronograph or GMT? For a one watch collection, I am going to say GMT. I get the date, I have a second time zone that I will use constantly, and I have an impromptu timer using the GMT bezel (can be tough, but doable) if needed. For me, Jonathan, I am going to pick the BLRO for this match up. |

WG BLRO > Daytona
RG SkyD > Daytona Every time I get the itch for a Daytona, I try it on and it just doesn’t work me. Then I buy something else. Like Jay above, I participate in a lot of Motorsports, but the GMT function wins out. Of course I’m wearing a speedy now.... |

DaytonaC white dial. Simple since I don’t like the GMTs.
