My AP GOAT - 26586TI (Starting My Search)

Hi,

I am currently looking for an AP Jumbo (15202 or 16202), and considering different metals, etc.

My AP GOAT has always been the 26586TI or the previous edition. I'm now starting to consider searching for one of these ahead of a Jumbo, as my favourite Jumbo is a 16202ba which is circa $135k.

Does anyone know how much the 26586TI retails for? Keen to see how much over list they are going for.

Also, would you have any concerns over the durability of this watch in terms of how thin it is with such a complicated movement? Yes, the case is titanium but the watch is very thin with a lot of complications, and I like to wear my watches a lot.

Thank you in advance for your help.

When it came out last year it was a (surprisingly reasonable, as far as these things go) 137kCHF. My boutique is keeping some hope alive that eventually a 16202ba may show up for me, but the 26586TI was a straight "not possible".

Thank you.

Yes, life is too short to wait for ADs to provide the watches we want... (so I keep convincing myself), so I am going to the grey market for one.

Hard to know what a 'good' deal is for such a watch on the grey market.

Interesting question is whether the dial and LE status of the 26586TI really justifies the $50k+ premium vs the 26586IP, which it seems can be found much easier.

Yeah, i'm not a fan of the 26586IP bezel... it looks fine in photos... but if you see it in person, it looks like it doesn't belong on the watch.

It's far too shiny in comparison to the rest of the watch.
