Starbucks or Datejust 41 mint

Spoke to the AD about my second Rolex from them. I told him my favorite color was green and I would like to order the date just 41 with the Mint Dial on Jubilee. He suggested the Starbucks which I love other than it’s on the oyster bracelet. I can put either on order but wanted to get some more experienced opinions from here which one I should choose.

So you "hate" the oyster bracelet? Is it a deal breaker?

Also, what is your other Rolex ?

I love both of those watches, but would take the Sub all day in a one watch collection. If you have a competent sport diver in your collection already, I'd go with the DJ.

No I don’t hate it. But I got a GMT 126713grnr with jubilee as my first from the AD and loved it. I had bought a preowned Milgauss That I have had for a while, but the GMT was my first one from the dealer

Get the Datejust. GMT and Sub look similar. Datejust will make a nice dress watch. The mint green dial is fabulous.

I would prefer the Datejust 41 fluted bezel, Mint green dial on Oyster.

I'd go with the Sub but this is a great option.

I like both but I’d choose the sub 7 days of the week if I had to make a straight choice.

I will always go with the Submariner. The DJ is nice and I would pick one up after the Submariner.

Of the two, Datejust - because of the comfort of wearing and its versatility.

I get the Starbucks. Got one and a TT DJ36 and I find myself reaching for the Starbucks more often.

I have the LV and DJ41 fluted, but on Oyster. The mint dial is fantastic. Obviously the LV is a sportier piece. Go with the one you think you'd wear more and the one that more fits your lifestyle. Both are great pieces.

At msrp, the Sub LV all day long. The ss oyster on that watch is very easy to maintain and you would have a diver with a glidelock.

I agree with Kat unless you are a diver in need of a dive watch.

I think you made a wise purchase with your GMT. It's a great all-around watch. It's a sporty dress watch you can wear anywhere.
Was that your initial intentions? If so, you can stop spending money. If not, it is nice to have a dedicated sport watch, a beautiful dress watch, something that splits the middle, maybe a......

I'm always, 100% of the time, going to choose a sub over a DJ. But that's me.

That wasn’t one of the options, but I can ask because that would be probably be as you said best of both worlds

Both options are great (including the third option if you consider the VTNR), but between the original two choices, it would be the Sub LV for me. Good luck with your decision(s)!

Very different watches. Ones is dressy one is more casual. Personally, I’d get the sub no question about it!
