Abt rolex Series

Hi all, I like to ask abt the series of rolex. I saw some ppl saying they have M series and some have Y series. I ask to to know how the series go? Because I'm going for 116619LB or 16610 for my first rolex watch. What is the latest series for 2009 for this two watches. Thanks

Two extremely different watches there: the 116619 was only launched last year, and with it being 18Ct, not many will have been produced just yet, so I believe it'll be available in either an M or V serial - the two run concurrently, ADs are still getting M serial watches straight from the factory. As for the 16610, most brand new ones will be a V series now. A Y series is quite an old one from around 2003-2004. As a note, though, it really makes no difference what serial number letter you have, the guarantee starts from when the watch was bought, not from when it was made.

Hope that helps

Is there a chart where I can see the which series belong to which year? This is the part which make me confuse. Like M serie belong to which year or V belong to which year?
