<<< Let's see those stitches>>>

Ok folks .... I'll start things off.

Had surgery on Thursday to my knuckle. NOT pleasant and apparently will take 6-8 weeks to heal.

Who else is in this uncomfortable club

My hockey ones are under my chin and hair, and my surgery ones are down south.

Hope you gain full use of your finger. And don't use that one in traffic for a couple of months.

No shots of the inner-workings of your finger?

This is nothing like what Bas puts out.

Ouch, what happened Brian!?

Hope you have a speedy recovery man! Any type of surgery and recovery is tough on the hands for sure.

Thanks guys ... wasn’t there a Seinfeld episode with a middle finger cast

I managed to bugger my knuckle up with some sort of cyst (non cancerous I’m told). Removed the growth, now let the healing start.

Wow. The worst part of the finger. Now you can’t bend it until it heals. I hope he heals quickly brother.

Thanks Brett

Yes, I have to wear a finger splint until the skin is fully healed or it’ll split wide open. The surgeon said if that happens he can’t re stitch it and it could take up to 3 months to heal. Needless to say I’m taking it easy

That looks inordinately painful for such a small appendage. Get well soon!

Motorcycle accident. This was one of the minor injuries. I was wearing my TT Sub. The cut stopped at the watch which fared much better than I did. The Sub was serviced within 5 weeks and just needed a crystal, I spent 3 months in the hospital and 5 months in a wheelchair.

My goodness Mike ... when did this happen? That looks horrible. Glad you’re ok, sounds like it could have been much worse ...

Ok I officially need to suck it up

Thanks Brian. I forgot to wish you a speedy recovery in the first thread. This happened June 25th 2017 and I'm still recovering. My hand is at 99% now, just gets stiff once in a while. I can do pull-ups and anything else I need to do. Made me appreciate life a heck of a lot more. Everyday above ground is a good day.

So I said "nice dog, does he bite?"

She says "no he doesn't".

Of course he doesn't bite.

Ouch !

Got too many scars to list but they all fade away with time.

Worse stitches I had were in my lower lip. One got missed as my lip healed around it. I went back three times to the doctor until he actually looked and dug it out. That hurt.

Sorry I shouldn’t laugh but man that’s ironic. She must’ve felt awful.

Total knee replacement. It was very painful and the rehab was brutal, but it needed to be done.

Got stabbed by a fish fin. Five days in Bethesda Naval Hospital. They were gonna amputate the finger at one point.

Not stitches per se, but adhesive to close the incisions.
