Just got the strap today, thought I would share it. Sorry about the quality of the photo!

That DJ looks surprisingly good on the white NATO. Also pretty unique.

I really expected it to look awful, but I actually like it. Though, I know I could never wear it as it would be filthy in no time.

Thanks everyone for your comments. The reason of putting an NATO strap on is really because I am in the armed forces and I don't really want to worry about the bracelet too much. As I am a musician so I am not in the field too much but I do move quit a bit of kit around when we are traveling. I suppose it won't stay so white for very long lol but it's part of the fun.

I got the strap from eBay UK, just search under "tropical NATO strap 18mm"

Hate the NATO's but I have to admit that's one of the cooler ones I've seen...

My husband was in the RNR and he loved it. He pulls my leg occasionally about him being in the senior service lol. Yes do have a look at the strap, the seller was very good. After reading your post I am thinking about getting a spare one just in case mine gets too dirty! After all white nato strap is hard to come by!

I am coming back to this thread just to look at your picture again. That white dial is one of the best DJ dials ever, especially with the new broader hands compared to the older DJ. I need some time to get used to the white strap. Not white in itself, but the strap as such. Did you ever consider other white straps?

Thanks for sharing the picture.

Best,

A

Yes I did consider other white straps. I used to have an Omega Aqua Terra (White face) and I had White lizard leather straps with it sometimes which went really well with the watch. So perhaps I will do the same with my DJ sometime in the future. Using the NATO strap is mostly for practical reason as it is my only watch and I want to wear it for all activities while preserving the bracelet a bit. I know NATO on DJ might not be the most stylish of ideas but when I saw the white straps I knew it would work at least on the colour front. It is working well so far for what is intended. And thank you for everyone being so tolerant as I know it is not everyone's cup of tea!
