Take my Rolex to Europe?

Just got my datejust about 6 months ago and we're going to visit family in Europe (Sweden/England) this summer. Any advice or reservations I should have about bringing my watch?

Just wondering, thanks for any insight!

Nah, leave it at home for the burglars. :)

Bring it, you'll get to use GMT function if it's exp2. :)

Bring it. Just assure that your insurance covers trips out of the USA. If it is stolen be sure to get an official police report for the claim. Have fun with the family!

Don't take it to Europe!!!! Europe is so dangerous and poor, specially Sweden, that they'll chop your arm off for it as Rolex are rarely seen in those parts of the world!!!

P.S. I live in Managua, Nicaragua and wear one daily, but a Rolex in Europe? No, never... Hahaha ;)

Sheesh, you guys are brutal!

I was more worried about customs issues, would it raise eyebrows carting around an expensive watch (but it's not a diamond one worth 6 figures), that kind of thing.

Not worried about getting mugged!

I wouldn't be surprised if just about any European international airport sees more than 200 Rolex a day.... You'll be fine!

No worries. I see lots of expensive watches while I travel. I would not worry about it. Keep it on your wrist and you will be ok.

By all means. On average Europeans are much more appreciative of watches then in the US.

Just be sure to announce to everyone you meet that you have a Rolex and you'll be fine. The UK is pretty bad tho, I've had mine on for years and almost everyone has completely ignored it! It's terrible!

I think you'll be okay in Europe(esp. Sweden and England)with a Rolex though the one place to avoid would be Switzerland.
