Coordinated COSC check for accuracy?

I propose an unofficial and fun COSC check of Rolex watches. Fully manually wind and set to time.gov your watch and wait exactly 24 hours.

Report findings back here tomorrow.

Anyone got a perfect one?!

How about 2PM Eastern which is about half hour from now? Unless you've already started!

I was thinking tomorrow so that others across the globe could join too?

Oh yeah, stupid me, TRF is of course Global (I know what you're thinking, you silly American). Noon tomorrow EST sounds good.

+ 1 sec.

Sorry to be a spoilsport, but I already know what my SS GMT IIc would have gained by tomorrow. The accuracy of that watch is very consistant.

Yes. I agree. What's shocked me is how accurate my 77 DJ has been since service. It's been nearly as accurate as my GMT-IIc (barely running faster than the GMT-IIc).

I'm not surprised to hear that, at all. Bear in mind that the Cal. 3135 and 1500 series before that are the best movts. ever made by Rolex. Many put too much emphasis on the virtues of the Parachrom Bleu hairspring, IMHO, I don't think it's any better than the conventional hairspring. Rolex just HAD to invent the PB hairspring to be completely self-sufficient.
