Heads up

So what's the deal with this auction? The guy 'appears' legit, but the pictures of the watch look just like those from Rolex24h.com

Sub LV - Ebay

Rolex24h.com

And these look like the exact same guy!

It looks to me that the Auctions on Ebay you've given as an example are legitimate and that Rolex24h.com is the FRAUDSTER and the one copying the pictures from the auctions. In fact I've seen some of the beautiful pictures posted here on TRF, used on fraudulent sites.

Topnotch-Watch has been around for a while and is a legit seller.

Rolex24h.com, on the other hand, is a Russian scam site which uses "borrowed" pix. Here's their info yet again:

while ebay is okay for the most part, I just prefer to buy new or used rolex's from stores I can actually go back to if there are any other problems.. saving a couple hundred dollars is not worth the problems or risk in the long run...

But I also never buy used watches because i can never deal with scratches i know i didnt put there myself!!

I have purchased a couple rolex's off ebay in the past, they came and they were real, but they are never as described. One seller I purchased my LV sub from a couple years ago goes by the name "generalwar" You guy's might have seen him on ebay with his masterpiece rolex for 180 grand that has not sold but sure is sharp... Well the picture he had up was of a LV sub and that is what I got, but it was not the same as pictured.. It's turn's out he uses mostly the same pictures for different watches he put's up as the watch I recieved did not have the side case stickers or clasp sticker. all it had was the hologram and protective sticker over it but had a lot of lint stuck under as it had been worn for a bit, but it did not have any major scratches.. a couple but nothing to go crazy about. it was also missing one link as i found out later... I kept my mouth shut and dealed with it but that was the last watch i bought from ebay. I paid $6000 for the LV sub back in 2003 back when they were very very hard to get, so I was expecting a better deal than the one he gave me, but it's water under the bridge, I received 4500 on it as a trade in when i bought my breitling in florida. So this is why i try to steer clear of ebay when it comes to watches..

newbie inquiery minds want to know...!!!! (and get to know the pit falls....)

Very few FleeBay sellers have merchant CC accounts as the charge backs would kill them. If you pay with PayPan using a CC and do a charge back with your CC Company PayPan will cancel your account. FleeBay and PayPan are the same company. FleeBay is a good garage sale not a good high end store. A seller can’t make enough money scamming items under $100 and the risk is not worth in.
