Any Zenith lovers around?

Just wondering if any other TRF'ers like Zenith, I went to the Time Machine yesterday just to look around and tried on the Zenith El Primero Striking 10th and I must say I do like the looks of it on my wrist. I always loved the Daytona and ever since I learned that the older Daytona movements were designed by Zenith I've come to like them as a brand as well.

The older Daytona had a Valjoux hand wound movement, then replaced with a low beat version of the classic and near legendary Zenith El Primero movement before it Rolex finally pulled its finger out and created it's own chrono movement after 40 years of dithering.

My Zeniths, gold one sold last year:

I've always been kind of interested in a Zenith El Primero since I saw them. Maybe one day.

Nice to see others out there who like Zenith as well . BTW, I love your collection Paul, they look amazing . Right now I'm up in the air as to what's next, I loved the Striking 10th when I tried it on, but I can't see myself getting anything until the new Explorer II comes out this fall so I can see it in the flesh before making a decision. If anyone has any pics of their Zenith's I'd love to see them

Love Zenith; have two dress watches - an El Primero and an Elite.

I've been looking very closely at Zenith for my next aquisition. They make outstanding pieces and are a great value. I'd love to get an El Primero in yellow gold.

I must admit that I was always attracted to them, but it wasn't until I met Mr. Dufour and discussed the brand with him as he envisioned it that I truly began to love the manufacture. The El Primero is perhaps the most historic movement of all time.

I do like zeniths, however resale value is a bit on the bad side. But I have always adored their t-open dial and the new captain line.

have a zenith el primero chronomaster t open in rose gold- looks and feels absolutely top notch. particularly nice watching the legendary movement thrashing away through the dial cut away section.

I was looking at a Rolex but I have fallen for Zenith. Still not sure which one yet. More research needed so I will be looking for some advice soon guys when I narrow down my choices if that's O.K.

Buy pre-owned and you're absolutely golden.

See my bunch above? Add them all together and there's still PLENTY of change from the price of a SS Daytona.

Yes. I'm looking preowned. Love all of your watches. I prefer these to the open face style. Very classy watches.

I have a fascination with Zenith as well.
While I have nothing the likes of Lou's (kuronogurafu masuta), I have a few that are favorites:

HW El Primeros:

The new Captain Dual Time looks very sharp, and retailing around $4.6K which I thought was very reasonable.

I like them all. For me it's a matter of choosing which one to go for my first Zenith.

I love Zenith and an El P is definitely going to be my next watch purchase. They're so beautiful. I'm also looking at an old Hauer Monaco.
