Would a WG 5167 have a chance in the family?
Random thought of the day...
Between the SS and the Rose Gold, do you think a WG 5167 would be successful (more so than either of the current models)? I think it's hard sometimes if a SS and WG are too similar (unless just slightly unique, like a WG Blue Sub).

Absolutely it would be introduced with a beautiful blue dial but it may be in platinum.

Would the strap have to be blue then?

Midnight blue strap!! Okay, I'm on the bandwagon now. Blue dial on a WG/P 5167 with a midnight blue strap (as I picture and label it in my imagination) would be very sweet.

Hopefully that blue strap would be the same color as the 5235, rather than the Luce aquanaut.

Why not? I'd seriously consider it.

A blue dial WG aquanaut might be pretty awesome, very intriguing :)

I would trade my SS in to get it. I would like the dial to be black though.

I love RG so wouldn't even consider a WG. Nothing could beat that brown dial for me and RG case! Sorry not for me but I am sure some would enjoy it...Cheers,

I am not a huge fan of the current offerings but a white gold version with blue dial and blue rubber would be very interesting!

I'm sure there's a great design and color combination out there for a potential 5167G.

White Gold is beautiful. But somehow it don't think it works on PP's sporty models like Nautilus and Aquanault.

Not sure, the 5712G is very nice, even if I chose the 1A and prefer the R it's still very nice, the only thing with WG that I always wondered does it have rhodium like Wg jewelry, in which case you need to put some rhodium every few years or it starts to look yellowish….

Platinum with a textured brown ceramic surround vs the brushed bezel that they currently have.

I am unaware of PP using ceramic similar to AP for bezels. Do they on any models currently??

The brushed bezel is one of the things that makes the Aquanaut and Nautilus look so special. Why would they change such a classic and great look?

Even if it was made available, the RG is the one I would choose.

LOL. That's got a nice ring to it! Platona offshore! I think the brushed bezel is both a strength and weakness of the model. What I was thinking is extend the colour and pattern of the dial onto the bezel. So not just flat ceramic but have the same lines as the dial has. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I don't think it is out of the question but the dial would have to be very special to warrant being chosen over the a and r, which imho sport some of the best dials in the category.
