I have seen people wear 5167s on all manner of straps from leather to textile NATOs and honestly I think they just look best on the OEM rubber. That's just me

I don’t think it looks bad, especially the wrist shot. Still the original is hard to beat and the only thing that will stay on my 5164.

Question: What do pants flies, weightlifting belts and Patek Philippe's all have in common?

Answer: None should EVER fasten with velcro.

Haha love that - and totally agree.

OP, looks like a cool strap for another watch. Aquanaut belongs on OEM rubber or bracelet , nothing else .

To each his own but if I wanted to do that I would buy a calatrava. Aquanaut strap is as integral as naut bracelet to me.

5167 belongs on OEM strap. Black or green.

I've seen one posted on TRF I prefer, curved leather with a tang buckle. I can't do velcro.

OEM green strap and you just bought in madrid? How is the situation with PP, Rolex and AP in Europe. All the sport models just as hard to get?

The khaki for the 5167 is discoed and was on a special edition only so now ADs won't even try to order them. If you have a real one then post a pic.

Funny thing is I don't even own a 5167, must be what I was wearing when I went in the store and the chat we had

Which in turn makes this process all bollox IMO

Buy more. I was quoted $7500 from a dealer for a brand new set; not a joke.

Did you know the green strap traded at a premium? If you weren’t aware of the price of the green strap, why did you ask the AD for one if you don’t even own a 5167?

Nice score nonetheless.

He might not and indeed it might not any more as I and a couple of other guys did a search and there are none for sale so the price is up for grabs.

I also have a custom strap for my 5167. Easy enough to change up. I love the original Rubber, however the additional custom strap make this a different watch.

Love the Gunny!!
