16710 Bezel insert problems
Hi,
recently acquired a 16710 in black and my wife gifted me an original Pepsi insert as the watch was originally also a Pepsi. Removed the bezel and the black inlay. Bezel was easy to remove, insert a bit harder. Unfortunately the Pepsi doesn’t fit and the black one was hard to get in with the help of the local Rolex dealer. Is it possible that the bezel is somehow deformed or has anyone had similar problems? Any suggestions? My Plan B is to acquire a second bezel for the Pepsi insert to change both bezel and inlay for colour change, but I haven’t found any of them online…any recommendations? It’s my first post here - thanks in advance for all of your suggestions! Best regards Flexi |

Welcome to the Forum!
Look here: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=790434 look at the youtube tutorial. These can be tricky and if you are not experienced in switching them out, it will drive you bonkers. |

You should be able to reinstall it without any tools, just with your fingers. If that's not the case I would say either the insert or the bezel is not original.

Thanks for your replies. I’m currently looking for a second bezel to facilitate the change, since both inserts I have are causing trouble… Any idea where to get an authentic replacement?

I would try the Classified section (Rolex Watch Accessories, Parts and Novelties) on this forum or Chrono24...be patient, as it may take you some time to find one!

Unless either the insert or the bezel ring is aftermarket, it will fit. You have to apply a fair amount of form pressure to get it to “snap” into place.
Try again.

I do know that sometimes it's really difficult to get the inserts in. The 2nd bezel does make changing the look easier.
