Will Rolex extend 5 years warranty?

Will Rolex extend the 5 years warranty since RSC is closed during the pandemic?

If you have a warranty issue why not send an email to either your AD or nearest RSC outlining the problem.

It would then be documented for later attention.

Is this question just for your interest or do you have a a Rolex watch issue?

No, I doubt it. Why should they?

For example the warranty will expire in May 2020, unlucky that the watch has a problem right now and the RSC is closed.

If the RSC open in June 2020, then it will be late to be covered by the warranty.

I'm sure they will acknowledge the warranty considering the circumstances. No reason not to. I would send an e-mail to RSC though, even though they are not open, just so you have a proof later on that you had issue while your warranty was still active and that you can call on that e-mail.

Because they are closed and some warranties may be nearing an end. If some watches need warranty work their warranties should be extended for as long as Rolex stays shut down. It is only fair that you receive 5 full years of warranty.

I personally think they could extend the warranty.

Doubt they will officially extend it but I am sure they will give a few months on top in light of the current situation. As suggested by others, send an email with the issue now so that there is a log.

I would expect it would be handled on a case by case basis. No need for a formal extension.

Since it’s a hypothetical, if one was in that situation, the nearest open AD would be something to consider. Let them do the intake for warranty service and ship to Rolex...that’ll be within the deadline.

Just an idea...

They probably won't extend formally but will probably take in warranty out of a goodwill account. Just document a request as others have mentioned.

If you had a problem and notified I expect they would otherwise not, not to mention almost any warranty documents would include force majeur conditions.
