Love people weighing in on a two year old thread.
Oh, and the Submariner (i.e, the “No Date”). The clean, pure dial is the best. |

With the difficulty of acquiring subs, either one! Both are great!

You will hear this a lot "buy want you like". I love my sub (ND). Its one of my favorite in my collection. Both will retain value and collectible. Good luck hope this helps.

OP decided on the 114060 and had it on his wrist around 3 weeks after his initial post.....almost four years ago.
I guess lots of members read only the original post and then go straight to typing their reply. However, the thread is still useful for folks deciding between the Submariner and Submariner Date. Personally, I used this thread as a resource when I was making that same decision early last year. So, thanks Kevin! Your thread, which helped you, continues to help others!! Michael

Date for me. It helps reminding me which date today is plus the date magnifier really signifies Rolex style :)

Get the ND . When you drop it on your tiled bathroom floor, less chance of smashing the sapphire crystal if Cyclops isn't there!

I read through all 16 pages of this four years old thread. It's useful still today to make up one's mind, because there are viewpoints you wouldn't have considered. I didn't know that the cyclops is considered universally as a first-rate Rolex trademark, for example.
