I’m seeing sub dates in 12-13k gray price. Why not
Just save the headache and wait time plus tax and go gray ? You’re only paying over 1000 or so ?

Congrats on getting the watch!

I ultimately chose to go the secondary market route. TBH, 2.5 years later, had I not, I would probably still be waiting on the ADs around here.

I put my name down for a new sub date last July and was quoted a 12-18 month wait by the AD here in Orlando. I got the call 6 months later...

How long a wait really depends, if you are on your AD’s radar….

Picked up today .....already looking to the gmt pepsi as next purchase . Rep was nice and simply told me don't worry about any waitlist. Just text her when I'm ready and she can get me on in 90 days.

I hope no one is feeling sorry for the grey’s. So prices are dropping, they buy at a lower price. They still have a good margin.

I keep reading this.

Am I the “only” one that sees a big part of the problem with people buying new watches from the secondary market?

If people weren’t willing to pay above retail from a group of flippers, the buyers at the ADs would be the watch enthusiasts—you—and not people looking for a short-turn profit .

Call me stubborn but I had the discipline to delay gratification—which has enabled me to have the disposable income to buy to my hearts content—why change now and contribute to this problem that so many of us are complaining about?
