It will tank. Everybody and their mother will want the new Coke.

That said, I would be shocked to see a SS Pepsi and Coke alongside one another. I think the only way a Coke gets released is if the Pepsi goes to PM only. I have a BLRO and it certain lighting it already looks like a coke. They would be too similar. It actually could make a lot of sense to move Pepsi to PM only if there really are problems with the Pepsi bezel. Less bezels to produce and service if they are only selling WG and meteorite Pepsis. It is a bit odd they are offering a Pepsi in three variants (4 if you consider SS oyster and jubilee separate) currently, imo. |

I don’t think it would do anything to vintage/neo-vintage. I have a 16710 and if they put out a decent looking Coke with a ceramic bezel I’d certainly consider adding it.

Here are some FS listings for 16710s on TRF during that time frame. In 2018, 7-10k for one. In 2019, 7-10k. These watches never dipped to <6k. The GMT mania had already started and the watches went fairly quickly from 5k to 10k and never came back down. 2018 https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=627051 https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=621467 https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=609638 2019 https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=668286 https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=692920 https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=651792 We can also go to Mr GMT, our very own Springer, and check his prices from that time. 2018 https://gmtforum.com/viewtopic.php?f...614c3e4243f3c2 https://gmtforum.com/viewtopic.php?f...614c3e4243f3c2 2019 https://gmtforum.com/viewtopic.php?f...614c3e4243f3c2 |

If everybody with a 16710 suddenly wanted to dump them and flock to the ceramic black/red, there could be an increase in supply that only a decrease in price would ease. However, those with the old version simply aren't interested in replacing theirs with a ceramic. If they did it would have happened long before this - and a black/red bezel insert just isn't an earth shaking option.

Given that they are having problems with the red bleeding on Pepsi's... I think not.
