This is the one to own! :)

Good luck with this. I keep trying to convince myself to pare down the collection to three....then I get the shakes and night sweats. Maybe one day.

Nice watches. Peace of mind is a state that we control, not the other way around. It does not matter if you have three watches or fifty three watches. I sometimes think the watch hobby, for some, brings out characteristics in their personalities that can be a best challenging and at worst problematic. With that said, do what makes you happy.

That's exactly what I did. Today, because of my birthday tomorrow, I ordered a Chopard! I think I'm healthy!!!

Log off IG, forums, et al - and keep the watches. I'll promise you that already after one week you'll be much happier with yourself and your watches.

However, logging off SoMe is probably more difficult than stop drinking. Try logging off all SoMe-platforms for 30 day. Take it as a challenge.

Been off for about a year and it’s heaven. Wasted so much time mindlessly scrolling a bunch of nonsense.

I went offline for 30 days. After that I switched off any push notifications on my mobile. Bliss!. :) The funny part was that i enjoyed the watches in my collection even more.

bingo this is the answer. My Wife noticed the difference from when I got my Sub to prior, my obsession was diminished and my preoccupation stopped.

I have quite a bit more mind space now than I did last year, but my watch talk fix is primarily through this forum and one other.

Here's a thought:

If you have 12 watches and use them in rotation, the wear and tear is X.

If you have 3 watches and use them in rotation, the wear and tear is Y.

No matter how you look at it; Y >> X. So if you want only 3 watches but keep them crisp -> Now, that is indeed a conundrum...

I have 7 of them in total. Four R, Lange, Certina diver and G-shock, which has just returned from cycling training.

We know you have many watches, since you feel your sweet spot is indeed 3 watches. However, it makes no sense ordering even more watches (i.e. LUC) if you really want to boil your collection to 3 watches. I think you have proved the opposite of your point. You will get no happiness from reducing number of watches in your collection.

My point is: Why boil it down to 3? Why not just keep them all and enjoy them all – and indeed buy even more watches?

So- let me rephrase:

- If you have 7 watches and use them in rotation, the wear and tear on each of them is X.
- If you have 3 watches and use them in rotation, the wear and tear on each of them is Y.

No matter how you look at it; Y is >> than X. So if you want only 3 watches but keep them crisp. Now, that is indeed a conundrum...

This post is like a "drunkard's confession" after another heavy binge. After sobering up, he wonders which bottle to buy/open today. It's like that with watches. Talking about three watches, to paraphrase an alcoholic - I would like to be "sober".
