Does South Coast Plaza PP replace Aquanaut straps okay?

Mine is looking a little tired. I had it done at HSNY last time…

Thanks!

Very easy to replace yourself. Springbar tool plus scissors. Just call Tracy at HS to order.

Just know their customer service is atrocious.

Thanks! I called and sent an e-mail, as requested by her voicemail. She responded promptly.

By the way I ordered the dark brown strap as I like it more than the black one and that was not an issue.

FYI. Her email is straps@patekus.com. And if you get stupid like me and forget the “us” or add an extra dot to the site…she’s not going to get your email.

Use a flat blade please when you're kitting to make sure it's perfect. Cut against the notch you're cutting off (so you leave enough of the rubber to be snug against the deployant clasp)

Great. She and all the staff at Henri Stern are terrific. Being in NYC part of the time, I just make an appointment and go in. If you believe a watch needs a service, they will give it a quick check over while you are there and let you know what they recommend.

...and by the way, I asked her about other colored straps that came with limited editions (e.g., red).

She said she can only sell those to people who have the watch in possession along with the certificate of origin. She said she has to order those straps from Switzerland and that Switzerland verifies eligibility.

They are easy to cut and fit (measure twice, cut once and in small increments). But attaching the watch to the case is not so easy because of the two case alignment pins that protrude from the curved face of the strap. My technique is with the watch face down and secure (2nd set of hands), compress the spring bars and rotate the pins over the case holes and the strap down and back into place on the spring bar lug holes. Or better, take it to an AD.

Another amazing fun fact: The straps cost $255 in 2019 and now cost $226. Springbars cost the same ($20).
