I’m in the process of buying a vintage Sea Dweller that had a service completed in 2015. Among the pieces serviced, it says “pair of hands - W/G lumi.”
It sounds like the hands were replaced. But what does “W/G lumi” mean? I assume it’s referring to the lume but don’t know what specifically it means. Anyone know? |

It’s telling you that the luminous hands (which are themselves made of white gold, hence the “W/G”) have been replaced.

So even though the original lume was Tritium, the new hands will have lume?

Yes. They don’t put in Tritium hands anymore

Thank you, all! This is so helpful. I know most people want a watch that doesn’t have any service parts but I’m excited to have lume in my new watch!
