Most comfortable 44mm PAM?

I'd agree with zirotti and say that the titaniums are the most comfortable of the 44mm cases.
A manual 176 base or a 177, or the auto 240.

And yes, the 1950 case wear larger (look visually bigger since the dial is larger) than the luminor cases

I just started with PAM and have the same question and issue. Here are my thoughts and findings...


What defines comfort? is it the size? is it the weight? is it how it sits on ones wrist? What are the important points for you is what matters.

For me, I want something simple and something light. I hate heavy watches.

I started out wanting the base of the base which is the 000. Then I learned about clear case backs and thought, never had one of those. So I shifted to 112. Then last week I went to an AD, they even gave me the 2011 collections book and tried on a 176. Loved it...it had me from hello so to speak. I was hunting and hunting could not find a fairly priced 176. I stumbled upon the 177 which give me the second hand... I wanted the classic 3 6 9 12 but what the heck its the same plus i get an extra function,, which also looks cool by the way. So I took the plunge and pray my wife does not kick me out of the house. I have bought a few watches since January...

I've got a PAM 25 Submersible- titanium, Luminor case. Incredibly comfortable and weighs only 128g. w/ Rob Montana strap. Watch weight should be considered more when one is looking for a comfortable watch- it's not just diameter and case height that matters.

Congrats on your 177! I thoroughly enjoy mine and chose it for many of the same reasons you did.

I find myself in agreement with Mik quite a bit here. You have to take it for a test drive. Decide based off how you want to wear it. My 321 rides high on the wrist but I actually prefer it that way, despite agreeing that a 233 or 270 is a more close fit and handles the same GMT functions.
Compared to driving a car - I thoroughly enjoy driving a 911 (993 or 997) or M3 - but for commuting down the 405 in So Cal I prefer my 5 series.
In the end to each his own - if you wear it and enjoy it that is what matters!

Tough question. It's really up to the individual. You really have to try them on to truly know & appreciate which one is the best for you.

I'll be looking at a PAM down the road for special occasions. The 177 definitely caught my eye because of this thread. I tried it on at the store and it was definitely lighter and more comfortable than the 312.

The most comfortable 44mm that I have ever worn is my 177 because the case is crafted of Titanium and extremely light. With a nice thick aftermarket strap, my 177 weighs in at only 106 grams.
