LEC on Datejust

When did the LEC make its way to DateJusts? I have a 2007 116233 that doesn't have one. I thought that they were on all models by then.

Thanks
Larry

I believe first ones were Subs on 2008 (M series, my fav year and serial because I love BMW M's ) and then slowly advanced it onto other models

It does have it unless the crystal was replaced with an aftermarket at some point.

It is not easy to spot. When I saw it on mine it was not when I looked for it, but by accident when the light hit it at the right angle.

I believe the LEC appeared in 2002. I know for a fact that it was way before 2008.

The LEC was introduced back in 2001:

Yes a 2007 TT DJ should have it. It is hard to find. Try shining a flashlight on an angle in pitch dark. That's how I finally found mine (2011 116233)

Welcome to TRF

Larry, do you mean you have one in for repair w/o the LEC? Or is it yours?

Sorry if you got an aftermarket crystal.

OP: Your opening thread says "I have a 2007 116233......"

Your later post says:

So to my way of thinking, your purposefully posted a disingenous statement of ownership in order to elicit support. Next time, say "I'm thinking about buying a 2007 116233............".

Bad form my friend.
