The batman or the Duke... Powerade, nah, nasty stuff.
Not digging that shade of blue. A darker blue with red, for the Pepsi ceramic. A reflective ceramic red and black with a red 24 hand would be the ultimate... The painted non reflective looks awful.

I'm suffering from 'nickname overload'
Btw, perhaps it would be better to see the watch IRL before deciding about the colour?

What about the 'Half Bluesy', or GMT II HB ?
OK, enough already...

or "half pepsi"?
really, this race to nickname the watch is just too much.....and some of the ideas, like batman, are just silly and don't even make sense (batman is all matte black). and, as some have mentioned, some people on this board have a real issue with the nickname "bruiser". last time i checked, not all watches have nicknames, either. submariner date, submariner, milguass, yachmaster, yachtmaster ii, datejust, daydate, skydweller, explorer ii, daytona, air king. well, i do remember a special person referring to the YM as "platty". i like that one. |

Just call it the GMTII BB.
BB for Blue Black. Simple as that. |

Oh, I completely agree... was just being tongue-in-cheek. Frankly, I don't really like any watch nicknames. For some reason I find "Subby" quite irritating, even though most ADs use it themselves. We should be grateful that Rolex actually name the watches in the first place, rather than just assigning a reference number like some other manufacturers

Why do so many believe this watch needs a nickname?

Personally, I'm uncomfortable enough referring to a watch by the brand name of any sugar drink (yes, this includes the blue/red and black/red variations), let alone one as nasty as that. |

For some reason, every Australian AD refers to a Sub as a "Subby"... always irritates me I think the best nicknames just 'happen' and trying hard to think of one is knd of contrary

Did you guys notice the color of the 2013 GMT are the colors of this forum? I think Rolex paid homage to us so I suggest we name it: TRF GMT....ok, I'm out of here (LOL)

if it really needs a nickname so bad just call it GMT BB we all know its a II when its a bb so GMT BB is short and simple. :)
as for the batman name ... i do understand that the older batman comics was with a grey/black/blue suit but if you look at the watch in modern times it doesnt say "batman" at all, also i think the blue bezel is more the color scheme of a divers watch imho. Cheers |

Do you all think the price of a new GMT Master II 116710LN will drop once the new Black & Blue comes out?
