Heuer Carrera Chronograph 2447 NS

Family owned and worn since 1969.

No service, no polishing, nothing has been done to this watch since the day it was purchased.

My question is: does anybody know what sort of leather straps these chronos came with originally? Just plain black leather?

I've seen straps with round holes but that looks more like the 70s to me, no? I want to get rid of this rather ugly metal bracelet.

Thanks!

You can get a cool vintage perforated/Rally strap from Squinky like I have on my 1133B except in black. Also for that watch there is a different perforated one. Check his straps out and shoot him an email and he will be able to help you. He is a solid guy. Cheers,

Racing straps, the one with round holes like you said, will look fantastic with this piece!

You've probably checked out this site:

http://www.heuerworld.com/gallery_543406.html

There is one pic of an interesting combination of black strap with white stitching that brings out the dial nicely.

This gives you another option to consider. I also attached a pic of a Gunny Black Padded strap.

Very nice watch you have there.

Thanks, yes, I've seen those pics. I'm almost certain, that the watch originally came with a plain black strap without holes but I'll do some more research.
