Bezel Replacement

Does anyone know if the inside of the watch or the face are exposed in order to replace the bezel?

No they are not

Bezel insert is set inside the bezel outer notched edge. Both are fitted around the crystal on the outside of it.

No,

On a modern Rolex with a Sapphire crystal, the bezel pops on and off a machined ledge around the perimeter of the crystal...

There is no exposure to any internal parts.. and no pathway to the inside from the bezel landing.

The crystal is a press fit into the case.

The crystal and the bezel never touch, or just barely touch....

On earlier plastic crystal watches the bezel does enhance the water resistance at the crystal/case interface....but still, you can take off the bezel without exposing the inside..

Sometimes, you don't even need to take off the bezel.

Occasionally, it comes off by itself:

Love the post of the Sub with the bezel coming off by itself.
