For sale posts
In the For sale section, I've noticed that some sellers have been recycling their ads, i.e. put a for sale on an item 1-2 weeks ago, maybe nobody wanted them or what not, and then the same ad got recycled and re-presented as a new for sale item after some time.
Can we have a rule that if sellers want to "bump" their items back to top of the section, they just post a "bump" message to their original thread? This can reduce the cluttering of the for sale section, and should better inform potential buyers exactly how long the item has been "hanging" around. |

Agreed. This along with some kind of identifier in the title to show where the product was located, would make sorting through them so much easier.

Kai your proposal sound very reasonable and sensible in theory, but....policing and monitoring and then moderating this situation is a tedious and thankless task.
If you are looking for a specific watch and you see the same kind of watch re-advertised in a new thread, you are going to very quickly realise that the watch is one that you had previously been observed. Sometimes a new thread for the same watch can have more photographs and a new price and the seller might want to cast the watch in a new light with a fresh thread, so there can be two sides to the issues you raise. The more rules we have the more problems that can occur and the more disputes and moderation required. I would like to just keep it as it is for the time being.
