American Pharoah Wins Triple Crown
That was great! And, great for the business!
Side note, my horse won Thursday at Belmont and my in laws had two others win there Thursday too. Apparently we may win a trophy for winning owners of the week. Roman Approval heading to the winners circle

Wire to wire in Preakness and Belmont, and second fastest time of any Triple Crown winner at the Belmont. Highly deserved! Just great!!
Nothing will top Secretariat winning by 31 in the Belmont…one of the best sporting moments of my life. I love the watching these races every year. |

Very fun to watch all the races this year. What a horse. I had frosted to place so I won a few bucks and still got to enjoy the triple crown win.

Was 12 years old in 1973 when Secretariat won the Triple Crown.
Then came Seattle Slew in '77 and Affirmed in '78. Another truly great horse, Spectacular Bid, should have won it in 1979. After that stretch, figured superstar horses and Triple Crown winners would come along every few years or so. Was I ever wrong. Great accomplishment by American Pharoah

I can't say that I follow horse racing, but that race was one of the most exciting sporting events I've ever seen. Great fun to watch.

Gerardo, just read that Victor Espinoza is donating his entire Belmont Stakes winning to charity! City of Hope in California of which he has been a big supporter of!
Now that's what I call a first class athlete and human being! |

Got to see American Pharoah at the Derby up close. Great looking horse. He'll enjoy the rest of his days as a stud horse.

All thoroughbreds at this level are good looking horses but I do have to say that American Pharaoh is one of the most majestic looking horses I have ever seen, just a beautiful animal. I was in a local sports bar to watch the race because of the big screens. I got there an hour before hand to make sure my wife and I had seats. The sox were on and no one really cared about that game. 1/2 hour before post the place was wall to wall people, everyone came in thinking they were the only ones with the nifty idea of seeing the race on a wall sized TV. Anyway the place was rocking when he won, strangers high-fiving, people hugging it was crazy, like a world series win, ok maybe not 2004 but 2013, sure! 20 minutes later the bar was empty, like the place ran out of beer or something. Very unique sports dynamic this triple-crown legacy. I think after last year's let down people really wanted to see a horse beat the odds and they got a great horse to do just that!

Great to be in Louisville to watch history in action. A huge boost to the horse race industry.

I was at the race, my first race also. The place went nuts, it was an experience.
