iPhone 7 possibilities. Much better IMO

Now, here we have a iPhone 5s, 7 and a 7 plus. See the difference ?

Speculation of a screen out to the edges has been expressed. The 5-wide app icon lineup is one way to use the extra real estate.

But Sammy has found a cool way to use the screen edge.

That's just some guys rendering ( http://www.ciccaresedesign.com/2014/...larger-screen/ ). People have been making renders for the next edition of the iPhone ever since the first one. The iPhone 6S will be out first in the fall for the holiday season. iPhone 7 will be next fall in 2016.

True, the 6s will probably be out prior to the iPhone 7 and the new operating system. iOS 9 included in the 7.

I don't think that the next iPhone will look any different than the current version. I've read that they may jump right to 7 and 7 Plus, but history tells us that it will be 6s and 6s Plus. My guess is the new iPhones will look exactly the same as the current ones, but with a better processor, camera and a potentially a bigger battery and sapphire screen.

It would be highly doubtful that apple would jump to a completely new iphone within a year and forgo the "s" iteration. There are some reputable leaks regarding the 6S. Aesthetically, it will look identical to the 6 except a new rose gold color option to match the iwatch. New A9 processor, 2gb RAM, iOS9, and camera are the most notable upgrades. Force touch is likely too.

I have read several rumours that Apple will abandon the S and go straight to the 7 and 7 Plus. I've also read that they're considering doing away with the numbering altogether and simply calling the next version "the new iPhone". I guess we'll find out in about three months or so.

Speculation. However a edgeless screen may indeed be coming on the 7.

But agree, as tradition dictates we will first see the iPhone 6s, that will once again be a up-specced iPhone 6.

They need a better OS that doesn't use a screen full of small icons to make better use of the bigger screens. It looks backwards and just really old fashioned now. If iOS was released today as new it would be laughed at.

As a lifetime mac guy- I have to say I've grown to appreciate Android for mobile. The breadth of choice as far as size, look and feel etc is unmatched and the modern Android phones are extremely stable and quick (as opposed to the ones I used just 2-3 years ago).

Still sticking with Mac for computer though.

What happens when you want to put a protective case over an edgeless screen? Sort of defeats the purpose, or put $500+ at risk (for a replacement).

I agree with Bfd70, I like my 5s better than my 6.

You can make the icons bigger by setting the display to zoom. I don't know why you'd want to but to each their own

Stock Android to me is still the absolute best, but I'm trying and loving the Galaxy S6. What have you got?

Phones these days seem to be following the watch fad of "bigger is better" but I am a traditional guy so I will stick with my 14060M and the perfect handling size of my iPhone 5.

I have a 5S as my Singapore phone and a HTC One as my UK cell. The problem with these Android phones (I've previously had the original Samsung Galaxy and the S3) is that they keep running apps in the background without the operators knowledge/permission. I very often found Google Play or Google Maps running in the background of my S3 without me ever opening them. The HTC isn't as bad but not far off. Apart from killing the battery, it hogs RAM.

Android Shmandroid, pfffft. To each their own but I'll never use an Android phone again. I'd rather use two empty cans and a ball of string.

Android has gotten better with each upgrade (Lollipop now). It's better for people who love tinkering with their phones since you can root it and customize just about everything you want. iOS seems to run apps better with lesser hardware (only 1GB of Ram vs 3GB of Ram on some Android phones) but you can't really tinker with it at all. So if you don't like the icons, fonts, styles of menus, boot animation, etc., you can't change it.
